Art & Soul

I'm a bit behind here, but registration for Art & Soul Hampton is now open. I am offering some brand new classes this year, my class samples are pictured above, please go here to register!
Speaking of Art & Soul, I spoke to Jesse Reno today & he will be selling his work this year during vendor night at Art & Soul Portland! If you've never seen his work up close, you won't want to miss this- he is one amazing artist.

And... there are only a few days left to leave a comment for my 500th post giveaway- but you need to go here to leave a comment. Good luck, I will announce the winner on Monday.

500th post, giveaway, & unveiling of new gallery blog

Wow, I can't believe that it's been over a month since I last posted! So much has happened, I feel like I've been through a tornado, overwhelmed, happy, sad, scared, just trying to find my center again.

Well first things first, this is my 500th post, & I am taking this opportunity to give away the piece that you see above & to announce the official grand opening of my brand new gallery blog, Thingmaker Studio. It's actually been up for a few months & it's been quite successful, considering that I haven't told anyone about it! It feels so good to finally have all of my work in one place, for now I will hang on to my Etsy & 1000 markets shop, but eventually I will just have the blog. SO, the rules are simple, just go here & leave a comment. The comment that touches me the most wins. I'm sure that there is a more professional way to do this, but I want for this to be more from the heart, since this entire year has been all about heart openings.

I feel like I've been all over the place in the past few months & haven't been able to wrap my head around any of it. First there was Art Unraveled, where it was so nice to connect with old & new friends. I came home & jumped, the landing was better than I ever could have imagined, but since then I feel like I have bounced several times & the subsequent landings haven't been so cushy! Now, I'm not quite sure where the heck I am, I guess mostly I feel like I'm still in the air, waiting to see where I will land this time. If I jumped out of this airplane window, would I land on one of those cushy puffy clouds, or would I fall right through & splatter all over the earth?

Okay, enough about jumping out of planes & splattering! 2 Weeks after Art Unraveled, I went to CA to teach a day journey class for an Artful Journey. What an amazing group of women, it literally took my breath away to see the incredible work that came out of this class!
Before heading up to Cindys I had the chance to spend 4 days with my dear friend Kris- we had so much fun, & it was so nice to be able to spend some real time with her.
Here we are at a wonderful restaurant in San Fran with Catherine, Shosh & Gray (Mike is behind the camera)- I love this picture, even though it is grainy & funky.
I have so much more to share, but I'm trying to stay off of the computer for awhile & focus on preparing for Art & Soul Portland, which is only about 2 weeks away. I can't wait to be there, for so many reasons! After Art & Soul, I have one more big show in November, the Santa Fe Recycled show, & then I will be done for the year.....phew, it's been an intense one!
