AMEN! I too saw it live and wept. I live in CA and as happy as we all were for the election of our new amazing and history making president-elect - there is an underlying sadness because Prop 8 passed in our state - people's rights have been marginalized here and if you think perhaps - oh that's about gay people and oh that's just in CA - stop and think again - when rights of one group are taken away the next group is not far behind - and besides this is not a "Gay" issue - its a human issue - a civil rights issue - as Keith Olberman so brilliantly said - it's an issue of love - thanks for posting the video clip - Reva (los angeles)

Thanx for posting this link, it's awe inspiring and so right on! I was heartsick when i heard Prop 8 passed. I live in Oregon where domestic unions are recognized but even this is not enough. I'm just dumbfounded that we still suffer this illness of ignorance and separation. When will we get it?!?! In 1986 i sued my high school so i could attend my Sr. prom with my best friend, who happened to be a girl. They were not going to allow us to attend because we were a "same sex" couple. It divided our school and we found out who our true friends were. Needless to say, we won the case and were able to attend our prom together. 22 years later, i thought we would be way beyond such ludicrous stampeding of our civil rights... how crushed i am that we're not. I know it will change. I only pray it comes sooner than later.

Open to light, clear our eyes and may all come to see, take one glance into our enemies heart and the mirror we do free.
